SYNOPSIS ENGLISH:

A man is being robbed and stabbed by a junkie and in that last second before he dies, a youth friendship flashes before
his eyes. He and his bosomfriend grew apart, when the latter was being drawn more and more into a misty world of
drugs and criminality under influence of a lowlife dealer who lives with his father on the junkyard in their neighbourhood.

BIOGRAPHY HISKO HULSING

Hisko Hulsing majored in painting and animation at the art academy of Rotterdam in 1995. His first films Harry Rents a Room and Seventeen were invited to numerous festivals, such as Annecy, Telluride, Montreal and Seattle and won several awards.

Besides writing, directing, painting and animating for his animated films, Hisko composes the orchestral soundtracks for his own films.Hisko made illustrations and storyboards for over 100 advertising- and production companies such as Saatchi & Saatchi and Czar. He directed and animated television leaders for MTV and Dutch broadcasting companies and creates comics which have been published in Eisner and Zone 5300. In 2013 Hisko made over 100 oilpaintings on canvas to serve as backgrounds for the animated documentary The Last Hijack.

Junkyard, Hisko´s latest film, premiered at the Annecy International Animation Festival in june 2012. Among many awards, Junkyard won the Grand Prize for Best Animated Short at the Ottawa International Animation Festival and the Audience Award at the Animated Film Festival Stuttgart.
